You cannot transfer after one semester. You need to finish one whole year before you can transfer. As far as i know you have to maintain a GWA of 2 or better. Or better yet call UPD to ask about the required GWA for the course that you want.

Is this a good gaming computer?

For a gaming computer, you'd be better off getting an i5 2500k. It even beats the i7 990x when it comes to gaming. It's the best gaming chip available and it's such greatly priced. So you'd need a good lga 1155 p67 motherboard. It also overclocks so easily and can reach 4.5ghz on air. It'll be much cheaper and better than any i7 for gaming. Also, I like SSD's but their price doesn't justify their performance e for me. Yea you can put the OS on the ssd and shave like 8 seconds off boot time, but that isn't worth it in my opinion. Save the money and get a better video card like the 560 ti.

Good interior design schools?

Wow! How cool at such a young age you remodeled your parents kitchen! Just the fact that you can build alone put you a cut above the rest! Heck, I can barely change the oil in my care let alone build anything! I have friends who graduated from FIDM and they really loved the school! I've visited them on campus and seen the work from the interior design students and it's super impressive! They do everything and have some cool themes! One theme I saw they had to use popular car companies to create a furniture piece and they worked with the fashion design students who also created an outfit! Needless to say it was pretty elaborate and totally stunning! Overall the school is pretty great and has an awesome reputation for looking out for their students and finding them the best internships/jobs in the industry. I do know of one grad who works with the same architecture firm as Brad Pitt when he was overseeing the reconstruction of Hurricane Katrina but that's one of countless success stories! Have you've visited the school? It's pretty cool and it's a great time to talk to the advisers and they can answer any questions that you have. Good luck!

What after 12th commerce board exam?

To get into Architecture in India you need to have Maths, Physics and Chemistry as your major subjects in 12th as it is considered equivalent to Engineering. So getting into Architecture with a Commerce background would be difficult. Entrance exam for Architecture is the same as the Engineering exam along with which you might have to write additional paper which involves sketching and design. So you might have to opt for a different program for your higher studies.

Everyone applying has the highest grades in the hardest classes and very high test scores. All that alone only makes you about an average applicant. However, the beauty queen thing makes you a novelty, so you've got a decent shot at a top school based on that and the combination with great grades and test scores. That alone wouldn't get you in, but with everything else, you'll have a shot at it. However, they do only take 6% of applicants. Have a lot of back-up plans.

Chewing mints/gum or anything sour may help to keep you awake! Most people try caffeine! It does certainly help, but it wears off after a while. So, if you feel really tired, you can try grabbing a cup of coffee on the way to your lecture, and see if that helps! It may help you stay awake for the lecture, but a few hours later, you may find yourself being even more tired than before! But hey, it's the lecture that's important, right? :)

Unemployment Question?!?

So here is the story. I have an older sister who has been battling depression for a long time. I got a phone call to get the hospital back in Sept 2010 to get to the hospital ASAP that my sister hurt herself. I was out of the office on my lunch break. I immediately headed there. What was I suppose to do? I had an emergency. So while at the hospital I emailed my temp agency that I had a family emergency. The email failed to send because of a wrong email address so I forwarded the email to the company boss that the temp agency had me working for immediately that same day. So I thought all was well because they didn't call or email me back yelling. Well the next day I sent another email to DHL the company I was working for through the temp agency asking for a few days off because I was overwhelmed with what was going on & needed to be with family. That was 9/22 I sent the second email. Needless to say they called me back & fired me. So they told unemployment I had quit on 9/22 but I sent unemployment office both emails with the date, time, subject, & body of the email.What does everyone think? Will I have to keep fighting or will Unemployment see that I was fired unjustly & the company lied? I can't believe the company would lie like that to avoid paying me unemployment. I am just now filing too because I had no idea I could get unemployment for being fired. A friend actually told me to file! So that's why I am just now filing for it incase that makes a difference. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

What is taught during the first year for a doctorate degree pursuing architecture student in college?

The doctorate is a research degree; by the time you start working on it after finishing the masters and any qualifying exams, you're usually not taking classes anymore. You're doing something original. And there's no point in getting a PhD in architecture unless you want to teach it. No other job requires it. If you want to know what you'll be taking for your bachelors program, check out their department website. They usually list the required courses.

Places to hang out with your boyfriend?

We're fifteen. Been dating nine months. Generally, we hang out three times a week. We go to thE movies all the time. While it's fun.. It's getting expensive. The mall.. We're both at a mutual agreement that it's gotten pretty boring after only a few times going. We usually spend our time at his house, though. We often watch movies or tv there. And boy, are we bored after the movie or show is over.. We rarely come to my house as we get less privacy than at his. We would just sit and talk.. But we literally have ran every subject totally dry. And I'm not exaggerating, either. I am not a summer person at all. So.. I keep us mainly indoors. Occasionally we'll go hang out qt the local school's playground or we'll just take a walk.. But in my opinion, those are better suited for fall and winter, haha. We both don't care for bowling. I am starting my 2nd year at a community college this fall. I did not study the best last year, but my GPA is still a 3.4 and I don't want it to go back to a 2.0. Does toothpaste really work on my spots?

You are not suppose to use the gel toothpaste, as it doesn't work, but I'm sure you read about that in your research. Toothpaste is meant to be used only as a spot treatment, not as a whole face mask like you were doing. Sometimes it works, but like any acne treatment you have yo use it a couple times over a period of a few weeks to really see a difference. The problem with toothpast is that it does burn and isn't meant to be used on your skin everyday as it will leave a burn mark on your skin (had it happen). If you want to get rid of acne spots the best thing to do is buy a little acne mask bottle. They work great.

What programs will you be using ? I Know that some programs like maya are very graphics card heavy when rendering. In that case you'll probably want a workstation instead of a laptop because laptops will tend to overheat when doing such tasks

Nobody's my friend. Every time I log into Facebook and I see pics of people having a good time with their friends, girls looking beautiful and nice guys with their arms around their shoulders, I think to myself, "I'm not welcome with them." The people in those photos do not hold me in the same regard as they do for others around them. Even if they show me kindness, it's really only at a superficial level. They oftentimes don't answer my messages, and I usually assume it's because they're not interested in talking to me. Every time I see a girl I find attractive, I think to myself, "She's not going to like me." I do my best to be sociable - I say "hi" in the halls, I have conversations about subjects of mutual interest (usually), I hang out with people, etc. But I still get this sense that I'm not really "one of them." I feel as if I don't matter. I'm just a presence. I'm just "there."

Help! My parents won't let me drive!?

I'm 15 (turning 16 in 4 months) and have yet to learn anything about driving. I have not been to drivers Ed and my mother said I can next summer (around the time I turn 17!) and when I'm done with drivers Ed I will have to wait 6 months to get my licences! And then after that I can only ride with an adult! I'll be 17 and having to ride with my mom everywhere! And after I get my licences I'll have to wait another 6 months before I cam drive by myself. I want to study architecture, preferably a 5 year b.arch program. I got into Virginia Tech and Cal Poly architecture schools. I also got into Cornell's college of Architecture Art and Planning, but not into the b.arch program. So I can go to Cornell as an undecided major and try to transfer after 1 year into the program. There is no guarantee, so I am taking quite a gamble. It would also take me 5 years + 2 summers if I was admitted after 1 year. Should I take the risk in hopes of getting my b.arch from an ivy league school? Should I get Final Cut Pro X?

I bought it. I like it for the most part however it depends on your need. I do event editing so I can't do some projects on it because it currently lacking multi cam support. For my simple family project I've found it to be much faster and more responsive (background rendering is amazing although sometimes it slows things down like other programs running in the background.) I'm sure they will come up with updates to adress some of those issues. If you can tell us more about your use it will help me with my recommendation.

I am together with my girlfriend since almost 2 years. I really love her but I started to doubt on her a little. She never kept secrets from me before, I mean she told me every little detail whatever she did. But lately she keeps borrowing money from me and not telling me why. Employers HATE those - I used to work in the post room of a large organisation and I was ordered by HR to throw the CV's with a profile on straight away BEFORE any Manager's saw them (it was a fast way of whittling applications down, for 1 job we had over 150 applications and by the time the ones with profiles on where gone they were 10 left - SERIOUSLY).

Should I be an elementary, middle, or high school teacher? Qualifications for each?

I know that there's programs only for elementary school teaching ...but what if I wanted to teach middle or high school? I like the idea of teaching elementary school because I'd love working with little kids and it doesn't seem like you'd have a ton of grading to to. I think it would be cool to be a history teacher or an english teach too...or even geography. Can teachers changce what subjects they teach? You may have just recited my life exactly! My dad got transferred to out of the country (from USA to greenland) and i have no clue what to do! He never comes home and my mom used to be a teacher but now she has to work in a factory! I have 3 jobs to try to keep a steady in come and i cant relate to anyone here cause its a different culture! I dont have friends and i find my self home alone. BUT what helped me was exercise. I am a fitness freak now and i feel great! Im healthy and I look Just the way i want to. I have failed my degree please help?

I have been seriously struggling with depression and heart problems over the last 5 years and its finally taken its toll. I have been trying to do this degree in biomedical science over the last 5 years but everything has gone wrong. In my first year I was at bath spa uni doing fine until I started having heart problems and I had to drop out and go back home so I could be closer to my family and doctors. I changed uni's to a closer one but I had to start again. The next 2 years went fine and I got into the last year of uni but then I started to have palpatations and further heart problems again which meant I had to miss out a load of the year being hospital and had to repeat the year. I just done my repeat year and its been the year from hell as this year I have had terrible problems with depression and I struggled really bad with therapy and being anti depressents. I have tried to go on with the degree as hard as I can but I have had no help from any lecturers even though I told them my problems. My personal tutor never replied to any of my emails at all during my dissertation so I have had no help so I have guarenteed a fail on that. My exams and cw were horrible aswell and I about to get my results tomorow and I am pretty sure I have failed the whole lot. My parents havent been understanding at all saying I have wasted 5 years of my life and that if I fail then they wont want anything to do with me anymore and they are ashamed of me. The stupid thing is that I dont care for the subject anymore, I dont a job to do with biology of medical science. I discovered that I really wanna get into teaching primary school as I have been doing voluntary work at local schools for quite a while. Is there a way I can not waste the 2 years worth of credits I got and use it to get into teaching?? how can I turn my pathetic life around??

Places to hang out with your boyfriend at?

We're fifteen. Been dating nine months. Generally, we hang out three times a week. We go to thE movies all the time. While it's fun.. It's getting expensive. The mall.. We're both at a mutual agreement that it's gotten pretty boring after only a few times going. We usually spend our time at his house, though. We often watch movies or tv there. And boy, are we bored after the movie or show is over.. We rarely come to my house as we get less privacy than at his. We would just sit and talk.. How can I help my depressed friend? Please help it's important!?

So I'm friends with this girl (we talked a lot in school but haven't hung out outside of school) who had suicidal issues (that her parents knew about) a couple years back, and is still super depressed. But the problem is, all she ever does is complain. I have tried to change the subject, and she makes a one sentence comment, and then starts talking about her "issues" again (some of them really aren't even that bad). College Freshman Problem?

In my opinion it is a totally absurd thing to take a young man or woman, who has been institutionalized for 13 years (kindergarten adn 12 years of school), remove them from that environment and say "Hey Kiddo... what are you going to do with the rest of your life?". Your parents would no doubt be upset at the advice I'm going to give you: drop out. Go get some experience in life and then in 4-6 years you'll be ready and willing to go back to school. In the mean time... go walkabout... follow your favorite band... enlist in the military for 2 years. I'm not saying you should sit on your backside... go do something.. but it doesn't have to be college... especially if you don't really know what you want to do.

I need a good interior design school?

Wow! How cool at such a young age you remodeled your parents kitchen! Just the fact that you can build alone put you a cut above the rest! Heck, I can barely change the oil in my care let alone build anything! I have friends who graduated from FIDM and they really loved the school! I've visited them on campus and seen the work from the interior design students and it's super impressive! They do everything and have some cool themes! One theme I saw they had to use popular car companies to create a furniture piece and they worked with the fashion design students who also created an outfit! Needless to say it was pretty elaborate and totally stunning! Overall the school is pretty great and has an awesome reputation for looking out for their students and finding them the best internships/jobs in the industry. I do know of one grad who works with the same architecture firm as Brad Pitt when he was overseeing the reconstruction of Hurricane Katrina but that's one of countless success stories! Have you've visited the school? It's pretty cool and it's a great time to talk to the advisers and they can answer any questions that you have. Good luck!

What to do as an Aspiring Architect?

Recently I feel like I've been wasting a lot of time this summer with regards to my major goal in life: becoming an architect. I am going to be a senior in highschool and I was wondering if anyone with experience tell me something I can do that will prepare me better. Hair dying- scared my hairs going to actually break!?

okay, since i was about 14 (i'm not 17) i've been dying my hair i'd say every 5 months or so. I've only ever used 3 permanent dyes within these years, and the rest semis. I straighten my hair about once every three days, and wash it once every 5 or so, because my hair is very dry. Within this time I use talcum powder as a dry shampoo if it looks greasy to try and minimise washing. about three weeks ago my mate works at toni and guy and he dyed my hair a semi reddy colour, my natural hair colour is a flat medium brown, and i loved it, and i've onyl washed my hair twice since but now i'm offered to model again and recieve the same semi permanenet. Im starting to worry cause people are like woah your hairs gonna fall out, and it looks really dry, and taily like all flyaway split bits of hair, and its so thick and frizzy looking. I;d never have the guts to cut off my hair completely but i'm, scared i'm going to have to. my wquestion- does reddy semi's damage your hair? am i advised not to repeat this, or will it nourish my hair? ALSO, how can i minimise straightening if my hair is like a wolf when dry?xxxxxx

The UMS marks are what matter, not the grades. Each of the 6 units has a max mark of 100. You need 360/600 overall for a C (420 for a B). Add up the marks you've got so far, and see how many more you need for the C.

I think you should at least tell her that you're interested but not ask her out because this might break up your work ethics and your studies because you might be thinking about each other and that would mess up your studies and whatnot. My favorite thing about Fergie while riding is lead changes they are compltely automatic. I just got her after a greenie who could barely do a simple change so that is a big deal for me, i also LOVE how neat and pulled together she is over jumps. Personality wise I like how funny and spunky she is sometimes she is a bit pushy bit it's pretty easy to fix if you show her who is boss.
